Activision has released ‘Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant’, the latest installment of the Crash Bandicoot franchise, for PSP and some other gaming devices.
This new PSP game is a follow up to Crash of the Titans and this time there is a new adventure for Crash, the game’s popular and iconic character: A gadget, which looks a lot like a cell phone (iPhone?), has hit Crash’s world, and everyone wants and should get their hands on. What they don’t know is this gadget is being used by Cortex and N. Brio to control their minds, making trouble for the residents of the Wumpa Islands. The only one who seems to not be affected by the gadget is Crash who need to use his powers to free his friends, the titans and save the day.
Crash’s new abilities include roll and counter combat system, which is a really fun and agile dodge move and should make for a more deep combat experience, and the ability to climb vertical surfaces. Apparently he can dig now too – a skill that real-life bandicoots have, enabling players to unlock bonus items.
Don’t be discouraged if you can’t figure out a level right away, and be sure to remember that there are multiple ways to solve every puzzle. Often the key is matching your enemy powers with your environments.
You can also roam through Wumpa Island in a co-op mode with Crash’s sister Coco. Not only does Coco make the game that much more inviting for girls to pick up and play, she also brings with her a new “treasure hunt” ability.
If you loved Crash of the Titans, you’ll be perfectly comfortable here, since Mind Over Mutant not only retains many features present in the previous title but also brings some refreshing changes to the table, too.

Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant is a PSP game developed by Radical Entertainment, and is rated “E10+”.
