As you better know, PSP fans like you and me need a few more PSP exclusive games, and the good news is that a new PSP game has just been announced by publisher Deep Silver. Mytran Wars is a strategy game being developed by Budapest-based Stormregion, which previously worked on the PC series Codename: Panzers and Rush for Berlin.
Mytran Wars comes with a story set in the 23rd century, when Earth’s resources are virtually exhausted and the ruling multinational conglomerates are searching for new raw material deposits in space in order to avert the impending catastrophe.
Eventually, a planet they call El Dorado is found – tons of natural resources are hidden there, waiting to be exploited and eventually wasted. However, there is a slight problem: the planet is inhabited by some not at all friendly aliens who start the war against humankind. Or what’s left of it.
Your role in the game then is to fight this war - researching new technologies and rearming your mecha. Battles will apparently be fought across full 3D landscapes - either against the game’s AI or versus other human opponents in the game’s various multiplayer modes.
Besides a single-player campaign, Mytran Wars is also set to include a number of multiplayer and skirmish modes (hopefully Infrastructure compatible), as players fight to upgrade their respective mechs for superiority.
Other details, such as game screenshots, factions, gameplay mechanics or even an estimated release date are yet to be announced.
We’ll keep you up to date on the latest information about this new PSP game, so check back psp games news soon!
