Tecmo is preparing to release a non-fighting version of the DOA (Dead or Alive) series for the Sony PSP.
According to the latest issue of Famitsu, the new PSP game is called Dead or Alive: Paradise. Apparently, this is a port of a mobile game, and not a new game in Tecmo’s franchise.
Set on a remote tropical island, this new DOA game is a lot like DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball title on the Xbox 360, but without the volleyball part. In addition to playing mini-games, the focus is also on showcasing the attractive girls from the series.
You can go around and experience the resort life of the island and do a lot of activities with the DOA virtual girls, like giving them presents, including swimwear, and taking pictures of them with a camera which you can buy from the island shop.
Being a single-player game, it assures you that you are not expecting weak multiplayer modes that Tecmo would offer with a game like this.
If you’re one of the Dead or Alive series fans that bought Dead or Alive Xtreme, this title is also for you.
Dead or Alive: Paradise is going to be released in spring 2010 in Japan. Tecmo hasn’t set a date for US release yet.
