Patapon 2 Reviews:
“Patapon 2 doesn’t drastically change the formula, but substantial tweaks have been made across every aspect of the game. The hero abilities add a new layer to the core gameplay, the new units are brilliantly realised, and the multiplayer game mode is a welcome addition to the series. If you’ve yet to check out Patapon, then there’s still nothing else out there quite like it, and players of the previous game should find new things to love in the sequel.” GameSpot
“Simple yet totally engaging, Patapon 2 is a very addictive and exciting title. The new features and units will definitely appeal to fans of the original and give them more reason to check out this sequel. …All things considered, this entry more than captures the feel of its predecessor while adding in some great new features, and easily ranks as one of the best games on the PSP.“ GameZone
“Whether or not you bother with multiplayer, you’ll want to play Patapon 2 with headphones. Screenshots do a good job of highlighting Patapon 2’s fantastic art style, but the game really must be heard to be fully appreciated. The depth of sound and the production quality far surpass the capabilities of the PSP’s meager speakers, and headphones also make it much easier to hear the beats. Put on a good set of cans, and Patapon 2 will reward with you one of the most enjoyable music and game experiences on the PSP.” 1UP
“There’s no doubt that Patapon 2 is as graphically stylish and addictive as the first game. It retains the core gameplay that you love while adding a ton of new features and concepts. Get it and you’ll soon find yourself humming the various Pon songs as you go about your daily business. Just know you’re not the only one.” GamePro
