According to Atlus, the popular RPG game, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, is going to PSP this July, featuring a new player-controlled female character and several hours of additional gameplay.
At the beginning of the game, you will be able to choose whether you are playing as a boy or a girl. This option offers players of either gender a more personal experience, and also gives gamers who’ve already played Persona 3 a reason to play this game again.
The PSP version also includes five different difficulty levels (the new options are the ‘Beginner’ and ‘Maniacs’), part-time jobs, skill cards, and the ability to control your party members in battle, which was introduced in Persona 4.
“Persona 3 introduced a revolutionary social element to role-playing games,” said Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales at Atlus. “Players weren’t just progressing through a story; they were a part of it, and their decisions and the relationships they chose to foster or neglect became a powerful complement to the game’s satisfying combat. Persona 3 Portable takes everything that made Persona 3 such a tremendous, award-winning hit and translates it into the perfect handheld RPG experience.”
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable (P3P) will hit the US stores on July 6th, 2010.
