Empire Interactive just released a fast-paced puzzle game called Pipe Mania for PSP and other game devices.
“Pipe Mania’s multi-platform comeback will give fans several new ways to experience the classic puzzle experience,” said Empire Interactive vice president of sales, Karim Farghaly. “The current generation of videogame players will have the choice to experience the frantic puzzle games on-the-go or in the comfort of their own homes.”
The main objective of the game is to lay down a pipeline that allows a fluid called Flooze to move through it without overflowing.
In Pipe Mania, you really need to think one step ahead to make sure you’re not flooded and that makes it an excellent PSP game for exercising the brain. It’s all about learning to go with the flow, trying to make use of every piece of pipe you’re given.
As you progress through Pipe Mania, there is no chance for you to let your guard down, since complication increases with new elements.
The multiplayer mode is PSP exclusive and it’s via ad hoc (not infrastructure like you may have thought). Seemingly, ad hoc can be used for two-player with only one person needing to use the UMD; the other only needs another PSP handheld.
The original version of Pipe Mania was first released by Empire Interactive in 1989 and followed by Pipe Dreams in 1991. Selling more than 4 million units worldwide, it has been ranked as one of the most successful and popular puzzle games of all time.
