Ubisoft has officially announced a new PSP game, “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands”, a new action game in the series including new characters, a new storyline, new powers and abilities.

This title features Prince’s efforts to prevent the kingdom of his brother from destruction, and you should know that the story happens between the previous trilogy titles: “The Sands of Time” and “The Warrior Within.”

Here’s how the publisher describes the game:

“Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother’s kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction. When the decision is made to use the ancient power of the Sand in a desperate gamble to save the kingdom from total annihilation, the Prince will embark on an epic adventure in which he will learn to bear the mantle of true leadership, and discover that great power often comes with a great cost.”

Also, this PSP game includes features such as reinvented classic gameplay, a blockbuster experience, mastery over nature powers and more.

“Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” will be released in May 2010 for the PSP, PS3, Wii, DSi, DS, Xbox 360, and PC.
