Sony and Sky have finally come to an agreement over the Go! View service, which will allow PSP gamers in the UK and Ireland to watch some great TV in between playing PSP games.
A release in the summer was predicted at the time of the deal, and it seems the service is now live.
The service works in a similar way to the iPlayer, but here the PSP will have to be connected to a PC running the Kontiki P2P software.
Once connected to the system, the users will be able to download a variety of TV shows and Films including, Doctor Who, Top Gear and Life on Mars etc.
Go!View enables users to download content from Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, Sony Pictures Television International, BBC Worldwide, NBC Universal International Television Distribution, Sky Sports and National Geographic and transfer them to their device for later viewing.
Three content packs will be offered by Go!View: sports, entertainment and comedy.
Each package will cost £5 per month, two packages are £8 per month, while for £10 per month all three will be available.
Although for users who do not want to commit to a monthly subscription, in addition to some free content, there is a rental TV option available at £1.50 per TV episode or £2.50 for a movie.
New content will be added regularly throughout the summer. We’ll inform you more on this new service as we get it.
